History
Sentenced to five years in Central Prison for injury and robbery, the man calling himself Melvin Voyager attempts to break out with only two months left before his release, and in doing so meets Edward and Alphonse for the first time. His unfamiliar two-handed alchemy startles the brothers. After the escape, soldiers including Second Lieutenant Heymans Breda set out to locate him, only to learn from people in his supposed hometown that the individual in Breda's photograph is not the true Melvin Voyager at all, since that man had gone off to find work in Central. The fate of the genuine Melvin is left unexplained.
