Appearance

Olive-green skin covers Hellant, and she dresses in a scant crimson-and-white outfit. Reaching out from both her scalp and her spine are whip-like tentacles, the instruments she uses to siphon energy from her victims. Because her lower body resembles a bee's abdomen, the DiC dub cast her as a bee and also changed her name to Nacrid.

History

Turned loose inside a virtual reality game, Hellant hunts the players and strips their energy away. Her victims include Usagi's father Kenji, who collapses unconscious, along with her younger brother Shingo and others, until Mamoru intervenes and knocks the Cardian off balance for a moment. Once Usagi becomes Sailor Moon and flings her tiara, the weapon oddly goes powerless. The Moonlight Knight then arrives, and his appearing beside Mamoru quiets Usagi's hunch that the two are one person; he shears away the tentacles on Hellant's head. She retaliates using the tentacles along her back, right up until Sailor Mars burns them off. In the end, Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter combine their power to destroy her.

Abilities

Hellant draws the life energy out of her targets through her tentacles, a set of them rising from her hairline and another from the length of her back. The limbs reach out to seize a victim and pipe the captured energy toward the Makai Tree served by her masters Ail and An.
