Gameplay

Development and Release

A production committee including Mobcast Games, Takara Tomy Arts, Asmik Ace, and Jumo backed the project, with LIONA credited as developer and Takara Tomy Arts driving the toy tie-in side, under license from Khara. Announced in 2019, it launched in Japan for Android and iOS on April 2, 2020.

Legacy

The game paired its app with a Bluetooth controller shaped like an EVA unit and blind-box character figures carrying ID chips that unlocked in-game effects, an unusually hardware-heavy approach for a mobile Evangelion game. Takara Tomy Arts ended the service on July 27, 2023, citing the difficulty of sustaining live operations.
