His real colors show once Hinoko puts in a request to enter the Land of Silence: he steps out of hiding as one of the Enlightened Ones, assuring his captain her interest is sincere. The captain will only accept her if she proves herself by doing away with Shikamaru and Ro, and after the resulting clash satisfies him, Komori leads her into the village, where she promptly knocks him out.
