Gameplay

The sequel keeps the chakra gauge and special technique system from the first game but opens combat up to four fighters on screen at once, letting players switch targets mid fight. Air throws join the moveset, escapable in the same way ground throws are. Arcade, VS, and Story modes return, joined by an Oboro (Haze) mode that throws players into a brawl against endlessly respawning clone enemies who arrive in growing numbers.

Roster & Story

Twenty three playable characters appear, folding in the returning Clash of Ninja cast alongside additions introduced during the Chunin Exam arc. Story mode covers Naruto's Academy graduation through the conclusion of the Chunin Exams, giving the roster expansion a narrative reason to exist.
