Gameplay

The game builds on Clash of Ninja 2's tag team system by adding team special attacks, lets certain characters shift forms mid battle, and gives some fighters a second special technique. A new Three Man Squad Mode pits a trio of characters against another trio, expanding the brawling format beyond the earlier one on one and four way setups.

Release

Eighting developed the game with D3 Publisher and Tomy publishing it in Japan on November 20, 2004. It never received a Western release; its ideas were instead reworked into Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution, the Wii spin off that brought the series to North America and Europe in 2007.
