Reception and Release

Bandai released the game in Japan on March 15, 2001, and it shipped more than 600,000 copies in its first year, earning a Gold Reward at the PlayStation Awards 2002. A 2003 PAL edition with several European text languages made it the first One Piece game sold outside Japan, though it never reached North America.
