Trap and Combo Gameplay

Players guide Class 3-E students through missions built around laying traps and firing weapons at Koro-sensei. Chaining traps in the right order builds combos for extra damage, and catching him at close range with a trap triggers a fever time that lets a student unload rapid attacks before he escapes again.

Modes and Playing as Koro-sensei

Alongside the main single-player campaign, a set of missions flips the perspective so players control Koro-sensei and use his speed to dodge incoming student attacks instead of throwing them. The game also supports local multiplayer, letting friends coordinate an assassination attempt together.

Reception and Sales

Famitsu scored the game 25 out of 40, with reviewers split on the shooting and combo systems but warmer toward its trap design and dark comedy tone. Commercially it did well for a licensed 3DS title, moving over 25,000 copies in its first three days and passing 83,000 by June 2015.
