Personality

Takao stays level even when the ship does not. When Misato Katsuragi orders the vessel airborne to fight the Nemesis series and fear of dying ripples through the crew, he answers with the observation that death arrives when it arrives, prompting Midori Kitakami to wonder how a man with that outlook has survived so long. He knows Misato's appetite for reckless strategy well and judges her an interesting captain to serve under.
