Motomu Kiyokawa was a Japanese voice actor who gave voice to Kozo Fuyutsuki, the elder sub-commander at NERV and a trusted ally of Gendo Ikari, in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Kiyokawa voiced Kozo Fuyutsuki, the veteran sub-commander of NERV who serves as Gendo Ikari's closest confidant and former academic mentor throughout Neon Genesis Evangelion. Fuyutsuki narrates portions of the story in flashback and often acts as a moral counterweight to Gendo's colder decisions, giving Kiyokawa's weathered vocal delivery real weight in the series' quieter, more reflective scenes. The role became one of his signature anime credits.
Kiyokawa also played Walter C. Dornez in Hellsing and took the Gargoyle role in the anime Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, along with Valkenhayn R. Hellsing in the BlazBlue fighting game series and Tippy from Is the Order a Rabbit?. He continued working in the industry until his death on August 17, 2022, at the age of 87.
