Personality

Warm-natured and loyal above all, the dog never strays from Nagato even when the boy can give him neither food nor shelter. He has a curious side too, perking up at the little paper dog Konan folds from origami.

History

Chibi comes into Nagato's life at the boy's lowest ebb, when hunger drops him in the ruins of Amegakure and death seems near; the dog's arrival hands him the will to keep going. Konan soon comes upon the two and shares what food she carries, and together with Yahiko they get by on scraps swiped from local vendors. Tragedy strikes when the orphans drift too near the fight between Hanzo and the Sannin, and Chibi dies in the crossfire. The children bury him and grieve. His name, fittingly, means 'tiny'.
