Abilities

Little of its combat range was ever put on display. What it did show off was raw destructive bulk: it threw its enormous frame around Konohagakure, flattening buildings and structures as it went.

History

Pain conjured the centipede during his assault on the Hidden Leaf, using it to sow panic and disorder through the streets. Its part in the attack was cut short when Sakura Haruno felled it with one crushing blow. The anime expands the count to three of them, one of which Shikamaru Nara dispatched. The design nods to the omukade of Japanese folklore, a mountain-dwelling centipede said to devour people.
