Haori

Haori had long black hair and large dark eyes. She dressed in a blue garment layered with white and wore a necklace at her throat.

Gentle and dutiful, Haori accepts her place in the God Tree's ritual as an obligation she cannot refuse, even as it parts her from those who care for her. Her thoughts still turn to others, and she urges Hagoromo to take care when he steps into the village's quarrel.

During Kaguya Otsutsuki's rule over the Land of Ancestors, Haori comes to Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki seeking help with a village dispute, a clash among farmers over dwindling water that Hagoromo agrees to settle. Later he catches sight of her walking toward the God Tree to fulfil a rite Kaguya has ordained. He tries to keep her from going, but she declines, pressing her necklace into his hands as she bids him farewell.

After climbing the God Tree in defiance of his mother, Hamura uses his Byakugan to find Haori and other villagers bound within its roots, their lives offered up to the tree through its sacred ritual. Because Hagoromo loved her, her death shatters him, awakening his Sharingan and driving him to study senjutsu so that he might stand against the cruel order his mother had imposed.
