History

While voyaging with Guy, Aoba, and other Konoha shinobi, Naruto comes upon Hishaku's ship and first takes it for a ghost vessel. After a few shadow clones help with the sailor's chores, Hishaku explains the strange sights and shares his wish to command a ship one day. When the Giant Corpse Crab surfaces, he recounts how it slaughtered his crew and pleads for its defeat, then rams the beast with his ship to open a gap for Naruto's Rasengan. With the creature slain, he thanks Naruto and reveals himself as a spirit unable to rest, fading away to reunite with his late crewmates, who had lingered for his sake, so that all of them may celebrate the monster's end together.
