Hōzuki Castle's Ninken

This is a huge beast covered in brown fur, its two heads acting on their own while a pair of yellow eyes track their prey. Its sheer bulk dominates any scene it enters.

Loyalty follows the title rather than the individual. The hound heeds whoever currently bears official sanction as prison master, and it meets intruders with tenacious, savage aggression fitting its role as a jailer's enforcer.

For all its size, the dog moves with startling speed and nimbleness. Both mouths can spew fierce flames, and its powerful frame lets it crash straight through stone while shrugging off most blows. A keen nose lets it lock onto a target's scent and run it down. Those talents are on display during the Mujina Bandits Arc: when Benga discovers that Team 7 and Kokuri are trying to flee the castle, he uses his new authority as warden to summon the hound and give chase. It proves a deadly pursuer until Sarada Uchiha turns the setting against it, shattering the walls of the flooded underground caves so the built-up rainwater surges in and sweeps the creature away, forcing it to disperse.
