Hyō
CharacterHyō is a former operative of Root, Konohagakure's clandestine Anbu division. Loyal to the branch's founder Danzō, he is trusted to ferry its most secret directives, as when he slips into Sai's home to deliver a hidden order.
Appearance
Hyō hides behind a white Anbu mask marked with red beside each eye slit, his dark hair tied back in a ponytail. A beige cloak wraps him well enough to conceal his frame, and a tantō rides at his side.
Personality
Like most of Root, Hyō stays devoted to the faction's founder, Danzō Shimura, and he is deemed reliable enough to be handed the delivery of top-secret information on his behalf.

History
Though Hyō never demonstrates any techniques, he manages to close in on Sai unnoticed before striking, a mark of considerable stealth, and like every Root member he wields the faction's tipless tantō with evident skill. He stays sharply attuned to his surroundings, quick to sense when he is being watched. During the Tenchi Bridge Reconnaissance Mission he broke into Sai's home and drew his blade, then passed him a letter laying out his true assignment and reminding him of Root's will and purpose. Sensing something lurking outside, he hurled a kunai, only to flush out a startled cat.
