Inoichi Yamanaka led Konohagakure's Yamanaka clan as its head and, together with Shikaku Nara and Chōza Akimichi, formed the fifteenth-generation Ino-Shika-Chō trio. As leader of the village's Analysis Team, he became the shinobi world's most trusted mind and one of its finest sensors.
Inoichi wore his ash-blond hair long enough to reach his lower back, spiked on top and finished in a lengthy ponytail, above light green eyes and a strong, square jaw. In Part I he dressed in the regular flak jacket atop a dark outfit finished with hand guards and a forehead protector, topped by a sleeveless red haori. Part II saw him in the Konoha interrogation unit's attire beneath a long black overcoat, and during the Fourth Shinobi World War he took up the standard Leaf uniform.
Level-headed and sharply perceptive, Inoichi kept his composure under pressure and had a gift for piecing together fragments of information, as when his interrogation work helped Shizune unravel the secret of the Six Paths of Pain. He was described as an indulgent, gentlemanly sort, and that indulgence showed most in his devotion to his daughter Ino, whom he adored and spoiled while remaining fiercely proud of her. Certain she would in time grow into the clan's most prominent figure, he set out to pass on every scrap of his knowledge so she would be ready to lead the Yamanaka, and he held firm faith in the clan's traditions. By his death he was content that Ino had blossomed into the bush clover he had raised her to represent.
As clan head, Inoichi was a formidable shinobi who could wield Water Release and was known even beyond his own village. He had mastered the whole catalogue of Yamanaka secrets, using the Mind Body Disturbance Technique during the Konoha Crush to turn invaders against their allies and, in the anime, an advanced form that seized several minds at once. His telepathy was equally renowned: he once carried a single message to every member of the Allied Shinobi Forces at once, across enormous distances, holding the link for twenty seconds where he had promised only ten and paying for it with a nosebleed and fatigue. Serving in the Torture and Interrogation Force, he could sift an entire day of a captive's memories in seconds even through mental traps, aided by a specialised device. He also ranked among the very best sensors of his clan, praised by Aoba, able to track targets by their chakra trail and, with Ao, to raise a detection barrier spanning every battlefield of the war. That same barrier work placed him at the heart of the Intelligence Division, coordinating strategy for the whole Alliance until the Ten-Tails fired on headquarters; before the blast killed him, Inoichi gave Shikaku one final broadcast and sent his daughter a proud, loving farewell, inspiring Ino to carry on protecting the village in his name.

We ranked the six most popular women of Naruto from worst to first, and our number one is going to start a fight. The official poll got it wrong....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
