Iwato is a ninja of Yugakure entrusted with a scroll of secret data, escorted by Team Minato on its delivery. Loyal to his charge to the very end, he uncovers a betrayal within his own group moments before it kills him.
Of ordinary height, Iwato has black eyes and short brown hair left in a messy tangle. He wears a grey turtleneck with matching trousers under a purple flak jacket, one pocket at the chest and another at the stomach. A forehead protector is bound around his head as a bandanna, and a brown pouch hangs from a belt at his back.
Courage and a firm sense of duty mark Iwato, who guarded the scroll placed in his care right up to his death. The treachery of his own teammates stunned him, though he took some comfort in having Team Minato as his escort.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Iwato and his comrades set out to deliver a scroll of classified information, with Team Minato assigned as protection. An attack in the forest scattered the escort, leaving Rin Nohara and Kakashi Hatake with the Yugakure ninja, who led them toward a bridge. After Shinbu was hurt and tumbled off a cliff, Inagi and Babu revealed their true colours as traitors and struck Iwato down from behind. They fled following a short clash with Kakashi that left Babu wounded. Dying, Iwato admitted he had suspected traitors in the group without knowing who, and had carried a decoy, since the real scroll was held by Shinbu. His death sent Obito Uchiha and the others off in pursuit. Though he displayed no fighting skill of his own, his reliability was clear in being handed one of the coveted scrolls.
