History
Four hundred years ago, Kuen confronted Soma, a wicked spirit that steals away memories. She managed to trap the demon within her own body, but as her recollections drained she could not sever both of the horns pushing free, the final step the seal required. The binding lodged instead in a nearby rock, while a fragment of the creature stayed lodged inside her. Its curse wiped her memory for good. No longer able to serve at the shrine, she stepped down from her sacred post and later bore twin children, passing the affliction on to the descendants who followed.
