History

While still serving the Leaf, Minoichi fought in the Fourth Shinobi World War with the Allied Shinobi Forces, where he cut down his entire unit and was presumed dead. He had instead gone into hiding, and after Gengo swayed him with a mind-altering genjutsu, he became a revolutionary for the cause in the Land of Silence. His Anbu past and the killing of his own comrades mark him as a highly capable fighter, and he showed real taijutsu skill by pinning another Anbu with finger and arm locks.

In the Land of Silence he crossed paths with Shikamaru Nara, Rō and Soku in an alley. Shikamaru bound him with the Shadow Imitation Technique and pressed him for information, threatening worse; Rō stepped in, only for Minoichi to lock him in a headlock. Just as he was about to reveal something about Rō's past, Soku silenced him with a chakra needle to the neck, paralysing him before he could say more.
