Nurui

Nurui is a tall man with green eyes and brown hair reaching his shoulders. He wears the usual Kumo-nin outfit but without sleeves, topped by an Allied Shinobi Forces forehead protector.

Careful to a fault, Nurui can read as cowardly. He has no appetite for heroics and would rather arrange an escape for his squad, even planting obvious decoy traps so it looks like they went down fighting. Still, he stands by his comrades and simply refuses to see lives thrown away for nothing.

Nurui shows little in the way of raw combat strength, but he is a sharp tactician. He rigs decoy traps with Wire Strings to feed the enemy a false picture, then steers them toward the real snare he prepares with Kayui and Yurui by exploiting the terrain and Earth Release. He is tough as well, surviving a Lightning Release strike from Ameyuri Ringo. When Yurui dies during the Fourth Shinobi World War, Nurui becomes the acting captain of a Third Division unit and chooses to keep running from Ameyuri rather than face her, watching comrades fall as he tries to talk Omoi out of a fight. He and Kayui are struck down going after Omoi, yet it later emerges that the whole retreat was a ruse to draw Ameyuri into a marsh.
