Omoi is a Kumogakure shinobi whose habit of chasing every worry to its worst possible ending makes him the worrier of his generation. Trained in the sword by Killer B, he rises to jonin and becomes the trusted bodyguard of the Fifth Raikage, dependable in a crisis for all his tendency to overthink.
A lollipop is almost always tucked in Omoi's mouth, and his face tends to hold a brooding, faraway look. He is a dark-skinned young man from the Cloud with white hair cropped short and spiked, and lashes that curl upward at the outer corners of his dark eyes. His clothing runs to dark tones: a long hooded shirt paired with bandaged red hand guards, the shin guards and flak jacket of his village, and a black forehead protector, with a lengthy blade slung across his back.
In his adult years little about him shifts, though his flak jacket shrinks to a chest-only cut and, in the manga, he sets the forehead protector aside.
Omoi thinks before he acts, often to a fault, drifting so deep into hypotheticals that he loses the thread of the moment. A single pebble thrown by his teammate Karui can balloon in his mind into an avalanche that flattens Konohagakure, and he needles her short temper as readily as she snaps back at him. For all the exaggeration, he is a sharp, level-headed ninja who keeps his footing under pressure and honors anyone who stands by their word, enemies included.
When the stakes turn real he hardens instantly. He stepped in with open disgust to stop Akatsuki from forcing Sai to battle his own brother, and he will throw his life away for the mission or his comrades, smirking at a foe even as death closes in.
A shinobi trusted with special assignments by the Fourth Raikage and praised by Kakashi Hatake for his strength, Omoi grows into a jonin who guards the Fifth Raikage. His deadliest craft is the sword, honed under Killer B and admired even by Sasori. Wielding a long katana, he can answer a flurry of strikes with one clean sweep, cut at an enemy from behind, and set up finishing blows with feints backed by shadow clones or substitutions.
He also channels Lightning Release, running its charge along his blade or loosing a bolt that, steered through water, sweeps up a cluster of enemies, and he can pool his lightning with allies for a single concentrated burst. Beyond that he is tough and long-winded, able to keep fighting through electric attacks and to hold his breath inside a poison cloud, and by adulthood he learns to leave afterimages of himself in motion.
Throughout the war he freed captured allies who had been turned against their own side, helped neutralize Deidara's explosive clay, dueled the swordswoman Ameyuri Ringo to a standstill, and later, during the hunt for the Hashirama Cell, was overwhelmed by Deepa alongside his teammates Marui and Kakui.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
