Saisu Kamano

Saisu wears his spiky brown hair long, letting it spill down to the small of his back, and his eyes are dark. His adult gear is the standard Konoha uniform topped with a flak jacket, with bandages wound about his wrists. As a boy at the Academy he favoured a grey cloak over a black shirt, dark-blue trousers, and blue sandals, carrying a bandage-wrapped kama slung across his back.

In his younger years Saisu came across as idle and blunt, quick to grumble at the Academy and broadcast his boredom to anyone nearby. Pride made him bristle at the gifted Itachi, and jealousy pushed him to challenge the Uchiha to a duel he promptly lost. Once Itachi shielded him and his friends from an older bully, though, that resentment flipped into admiration, and Saisu happily trailed after the prodigy hailing him as "Master" and even fought at his side against a far larger group.

During his Academy days Saisu shared a classroom with Itachi Uchiha and was stunned by the boy's flawless aim in shuriken practice. After a lopsided sparring loss and a bruised ego, he grew irritated by the girls fawning over Itachi, only to end up hiding behind him when the older student Dokan came looking for a fight. Itachi's easy victory won Saisu over, and he began parading around as the prodigy's self-appointed disciple, later taking a beating alongside him when Dokan's crowd sought revenge. His weapon skill, sharpened early, showed in the collapsible kusarigama of the manga and the folding kama of the anime. Grown up, he answered the call during Pain's assault, joining a small band of shinobi who struck the Deva Path from four sides at once, only to be swept aside in an instant by the Shinra Tensei.
