Tall and fair-skinned, Samui cuts a striking figure with a full bust and a curvy build. Blonde hair falls to her shoulders in an uneven bob, framing blue eyes and an expression that rarely shifts from cool detachment. Her outfit runs very low at the chest over mesh armor, paired with a short skirt, red hand guards, tall boots, and a cut-down flak jacket that wraps only her midsection like a girdle. A tanto rides horizontally across her lower back.

Where her teammates run loud and impulsive, Samui stays mature, unruffled, and sparing with her words. Her favorite thing to say is simply the word cool, a habit she can rein in when it matters, having held it back through an entire fight that later tripped up both her brother and Darui. That steadiness is exactly why the Fourth Raikage places such complete trust in her.

A capable swordswoman, Samui fights with her tanto and carries deep knowledge of legends like the Gold and Silver Brothers and their four mythical weapons. The Raikage first sends her team to Konoha to announce that Kumo will handle Sasuke and the Akatsuki itself. Later she delivers his letter amid the turmoil of the Kage Summit and unknowingly leads Naruto's group to the Land of Iron after Yamato tags her team with a tracker.

During the Fourth Shinobi World War she joins her brother Atsui to back Darui against Kinkaku and Ginkaku. Both siblings are struck by the Kokinjo, which draws out their word souls, and when Ginkaku gags Samui long enough that her forced silence trips the curse, she is sealed inside the Benihisago. The gourd passes through enemy hands until Darui finally frees her and Atsui once the war ends.
