Sasori's Father was a shinobi of Sunagakure, Chiyo's son and father to the puppet master Sasori. Killed in war while Sasori was still young, he lived on chiefly through the puppet his grieving son fashioned in his image.
Very shaggy red hair topped the man, above a pair of purple eyes. His everyday dress was a long, loose garment finished with a poncho-style top, the sort of clothing common among the people of Sunagakure. When serving as a shinobi he instead wore Suna's standard uniform, marked by a forehead protector, a white ghutrah, and a flak jacket.
The story records little of the man's temperament, defining him instead through his absence. He and his wife left their young son behind to answer the call of war, a departure from which neither returned. It is Sasori's lifelong hunger for the love they could no longer give that fixes their place in the tale.
He and his wife both fell to Sakumo Hatake in a wartime clash, leaving the young Sasori to be raised by his grandmother Chiyo. Once Sasori learned the art of puppetry, he crafted a pair of puppets in his parents' likeness, hoping they might grant him the affection he had lost. Because they were only puppets, the effort failed, and he eventually set them aside, abandoning them when he defected from Sunagakure. The figures then passed into Chiyo's keeping, who once turned them against Sasori himself, and later into the hands of Kankuro.
