Appearance

Two red streaks mark Shura's face, one sitting on the chin and the other cutting across the bridge of his nose. His eyes are small and set beneath a long fall of brown hair. Over his usual outfit he adds a piece of headgear, and an umbrella rides on his back, a tool he readily turns into a weapon.

Greed and cruelty run deep in Shura. Getting his way matters so much to him that he will strike even a child to see it done.

History

The umbrella is far more than shade. Shura handles it with real skill, and it hides a battery of tricks: volleys of senbon, a gout of flame like a flamethrower, metal wires that pin a foe in place, and a concealed blade for the killing stroke. He labels such methods assassination arts rather than ninja techniques, and he can even ride the umbrella to glide on the air, using it to touch down once Naruto bests him. During the Gantetsu Escort Mission he seizes Akio, which sends Naruto and his allies into the Shinobazu hideout to rescue the boy. Shura thrashes Akio to force out where Gantetsu stashed the stolen treasure. When Todoroki rushes the scene Gantetsu is taken, the building goes up in flames, and Todoroki masters his panic to help the pair flee. Naruto then closes with Shura and lands a Rasengan, dropping him to his end in the forest far below.
