Appearance

A gaunt face, made sterner by a mouth that naturally turned down at the corners, framed Tajima's dark eyes. His dark hair was shaved close at the back, and he dressed in plain black, a high collar above a breastplate fitted with guards along the outer legs, with foot wraps, sandals, and a tantō lashed sideways across his back.

Personality

Composed and unflappable, Tajima placed deep trust in Madara, accepting his son's call to pull back once Madara judged the odds poor with Hashirama on the field. In the manner of Butsuma, he tried to mine intelligence from the enemy through his son's ties to Hashirama, and though that plan came to nothing, he took real satisfaction in Madara's Sharingan awakening. Years of unending war had made him and Butsuma mirror images in both skill and outlook, which was likely why their clashes always ended in deadlock, and neither man flinched at cutting down the other's child to open a path to his rival.

Abilities

As a bearer of the Sharingan, Tajima drew on the eye's many advantages to sharpen his fighting, enough that he stood evenly against Butsuma Senju. The tantō he carried low on his back marks him as a swordsman, and simply reaching adulthood in an age that buried so many young fighters suggests real talent. Once a father of five, he lost three sons in the fighting against the Senju and stood with the surviving Izuna at the time he entered the story. Learning that Madara kept meeting Hashirama, he took the field with Izuna to exploit those meetings and kill another Senju, only to be met by Butsuma and Tobirama, who reasoned exactly as he did. His strike at Tobirama, aimed at rattling Butsuma, was blocked by Hashirama, and when Madara admitted he was the weaker of the two, Tajima reluctantly withdrew, gathering no intelligence yet glad his son's Sharingan had bloomed.
