Summary

Suigetsu produces the scroll he lifted from one of Orochimaru's old hideouts and hands it to Sasuke. After reading through it, Sasuke resolves to seek out Orochimaru, telling a baffled Suigetsu that a man like that does not die so easily and that he intends to reach the ones who hold all the answers. Drawing on Jūgo's transformation ability, Sasuke uses the Evil Releasing Method to bring the Sannin back. Startled that of all people Sasuke would revive him, Orochimaru declares he has no stake in the war, his eye still fixed on claiming Sasuke's body, though he concedes such a thing is impossible in his weakened condition.

Key Events

Sasuke shows him the scroll and states his aim to wring answers from those who know everything. After drawing chakra out of the disabled Kabuto, Orochimaru consents to his former pupil's demand, and they ready themselves to leave. On the front lines, Naruto and the others look on as Tobi presses ahead with reviving the Ten-Tails. Kakashi cannot understand the bluff, since the Eight and Nine-Tails' chakra remains whole, but Gyūki suggests Akatsuki may have drawn chakra from its severed clone, and Kurama adds that more could be stored in the sealed treasures the Demonic Statue once swallowed. Determined to halt the revival, Kakashi finds Kurama in agreement, yet the masked man insists the Infinite Tsukuyomi can still be realized even with the beast incomplete. As the group rallies, Naruto shifts into his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode and strikes at the statue.
