The Reanimated Allied Forces

Hoping to reclaim his strongest reanimated fighters, Kabuto hurls a wave of his feeblest reincarnated ninja at the Allied Shinobi Forces, summoning them through Torune. A White Zetsu on the field recognizes the batch as the botched results of the Impure World Reincarnation. Once the clash settles, the alliance registers that these revenants are weak and rely purely on sheer numbers, and troubling for the troops, some of the reanimated are their own departed relatives and comrades.

Osoi, once Toroi's partner and Musai's father, warns the soldiers of Kabuto's scheme to free his more dangerous pawns, and the alliance alerts headquarters that some of the dead are hunting the sealed Third Raikage. Torune's fugitive squad slips away using Heiji's smoke technique and reaches the Raikage's resting place, where Daimaru clears the warding tags with an earth jutsu and Chukaku prays over the final seal to break it. Temari arrives just in time to strike Chukaku down, brushes off Daimaru's abrupt declaration of love, and helps seal him away. When she finally hits Torune, she discovers only an insect clone remained, and Kabuto, impressed, resolves to make use of the real one.

This 316th episode of Naruto: Shippuden sits within the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation arc and premiered in Japan on June 6, 2013, with the English dub on October 24, 2015. The opening theme is Not Even Sudden Rain Can Defeat Me and the ending theme is I Can Hear. A flashback depicts Kabuto plundering graves after absorbing Orochimaru's cells.
