Gameplay

Players scan Data Carddass cards through the cabinet's reader to assemble a ninja team, then watch the resulting battle play out in 3D on the arcade screen, the same interactive card game format Bandai used across its Data Carddass line rather than a traditional stick and button fighter.

Series Context

Ultimate Ninja Mission follows Ultimate Ninja Card Battle, the first Data Carddass Naruto machine, which drew its content from the PlayStation 2 game Ultimate Ninja 3. Mission does the same with Ultimate Ninja 4, adapting that console fighter's characters and battle data into card form, and its cards remain usable in sibling Data Carddass releases such as Ultimate Ninja Formation.

Release

Bandai operated Ultimate Ninja Mission in Japanese arcades starting in 2007. Documentation for the cabinet is thin compared to the franchise's console entries, and no exact launch date or any release outside Japan has been confirmed by available sources.
