The gang's livelihood depends on staging duels between talented swordsmen and cashing in on the crowd. After watching Katazu defeat Tsukado, a bout in which Tsukado's distant relative Shikazo had died, Kanabun spotted the hidden blade skill behind the win. The next day he dragged Katazu back for a rematch, expecting the fight to fill his purse. The plan collapsed once Katazu admitted he had never killed Shikazo and refused to keep going. When the crew tried to force another round, the two swordsmen joined with Team 7 and Mr. Ostrich to run the gang out of the settlement.
