Steve Staley is an American voice actor and ADR director recognized for anchoring long-running anime franchises in English. He voices Cytomander, one of the Spiral King's Four Supreme Generals, in the Gurren Lagann English dub.
Staley plays Cytomander the Swift, the vain, peacock-inspired commander of Teppelin's aerial forces and one of the Beastmen empire's Four Supreme Generals. The character grows increasingly unstable as Team Dai-Gurren's rebellion advances, and Staley pushes that instability into full-blown mania before Cytomander goes down fighting aboard his flagship late in the series. He carried the role over into the English dub of the Childhood's End movie as well.
Staley is best known to English-speaking fans as Tōshirō Hitsugaya in Bleach and as Neji Hyuga in Naruto, two long-running shonen roles that built his reputation. He also played Kadaj in the Final Fantasy VII film Advent Children, took on Shiro Amada for the Gundam spinoff The 08th MS Team, and voiced Eiji Kikumaru in the tennis series The Prince of Tennis. Beyond performing, he has worked as an ADR director, guiding how other actors' lines get adapted for English releases.
