In manga episode 306 of Berserk, the barrier between imagination and reality falls away. Beings once confined to human dreams spill into the waking world, and the Band of the Falcon gazes up at the towering white tree risen where Ganishka once stood.
Across the globe, wondrous and monstrous beings burst into existence all at once. Dragons, giants, goblins, trolls, elves, swamp dwellers, brownies, wandering spirits and a headless horseman all take physical shape. Each of them had long lived only in the minds of dreaming or imaginative people, and the light unleashed by Ganishka has ushered them into the tangible world. The God Hand, too, appear amid strange and fantastic surroundings.
Where the Kushan emperor's body once loomed, a colossal, wholly white tree now rises. The reborn Band of the Falcon stands beneath it, staring upward at the transformed landscape.
Ganishka's released light collapses the divide between the physical and astral worlds, giving flesh to creatures of legend everywhere at once. In place of the emperor's remains, the great white World Spiral Tree takes root, witnessed in awe by the Band of the Falcon.
The twenty-six page chapter closes out its stretch of the Millennium Falcon Arc and was first published in Young Animal issue 13. Members of the God Hand, including Slan, Conrad, Ubik and Void, are shown within otherworldly settings as the merger of realms takes hold.
