Gameplay

The game is a fast arena fighter with a roster of 74 characters, including newly added Arrancar resurrección forms and figures from the Bleach films and the Turn Back the Pendulum flashback. Fresh championship and customization modes let players run tournaments and tailor their fighters.

The story mode traces the anime from the moment Ichigo first gains his Soul Reaper powers through the escalating clashes between the Soul Reapers and the Espada, covering events up to the point the series has reached at the time of release.

Sony Computer Entertainment publishes the game exclusively in Japan on May 14, 2009. Like the rest of the Heat the Soul line, it stays a Japan-only release and receives no official Western localization.
