The action unfolds in Jump World, where a tournament arranged by the world's god gathers heroes and villains from around 32 franchises. Winning teams are promised a wish, giving the sprawling crossover cast a shared reason to fight through the bracket.

Reception

Reviews land mixed to average; Metacritic sits in the low 60s for the console version and the mid 70s on Vita, IGN scores it 5 of 10, and Famitsu's panel grants 8s. Critics enjoy the fan service but fault the shallow, repetitive combat. First-week Japanese sales top 118,000 on PS3 and 97,000 on Vita, and the expanded J-Stars Victory VS+ brings the game to North America on June 30, 2015.
