JoJo's Pitter Patter Pop! is a 2018 mobile tile matching game from Bandai Namco that reimagines the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure cast as chibi figures in a pop up book world. Gameplay

Battles play out as single player tile matching puzzles on a six by six grid, where lining up four or more matching tiles damages the opposing team. Players field a team of two units per battle, and outside of combat the JoJo Mansion feature lets them assign collected characters to rooms, decorate those rooms with furniture, and deepen relationships by giving gifts, with more rooms unlocking as the player levels up.

Characters and Style

The cast is rendered as super deformed, chibi versions of characters drawn from the first five arcs of the anime, Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, Diamond Is Unbreakable, and Golden Wind, plus figures pulled from the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVA spin off. This softer art style, paired with a storybook presentation, set the game apart visually from the franchise's more serious fighting and action titles.

Revealed in the August 2018 issue of Ultra Jump alongside Part 5 anime promotion, the game launched in Japan on October 10, 2018 for iOS and Android. It received regular content updates throughout its run and passed one million active players on August 28, 2020, before Bandai Namco shut down its servers on September 2, 2021.
