Kinoto

Underneath his Anbu mask sit black eyes and a mop of spiky black hair. That mask, patterned with red across its face, usually keeps him hidden. He wears the standard Anbu gear, a tattoo marking his left shoulder and a tanto slung over his right.

Being Root Anbu marks Kinoto as a capable fighter. His stealth is sharp enough to keep him unseen even by a veteran like Kakashi. The blade he carries points to kenjutsu training, and since Danzo tasked him with branding Kinoe with a cursed seal, he clearly commands juinjutsu as well.

In the years following the Third Great Shinobi War, he stands guard over Danzo Shimura at a meeting with Orochimaru, arranged after the Sannin is denied the role of Hokage. He is the one who tips Danzo off to Orochimaru's flight from Konoha. Acting on Danzo's orders, he later takes part in a strike against Hiruzen Sarutobi, a scheme Kakashi foils by warning the Hokage ahead of time. Three years later, Danzo dispatches Kinoto and Kinoe to lift a Sharingan from Kakashi Hatake so he can swap out his own fading right eye, yet the mission collapses when Kinoe substitutes a carved wooden eyeball.
