Personality

Warm and eager, Komushi longed for the sort of acclaim that Sasori drew for his craft. He valued the friendship deeply, opening up about his struggles and ambitions, and even as he lay dying he begged Chiyo to keep the blame off Sasori. He also chafed at his mother treating him like a child.

History

Raised under the Third Kazekage, Komushi spent his days carrying messages between Chiyo and her grandson Sasori, with whom he shared an easy bond. A border patrol left him wounded and short an arm, which Sasori rebuilt as a puppet prosthetic. That replacement was more than cosmetic: it could shoot a concealed blade from the palm and came laced with Sasori's custom poison, and putting it to use meant Komushi could manage chakra threads and the Puppet Technique. He also knew his herbs well enough to gauge the rarity of the ingredients on Sasori's poison list.

His life ends when he swallows some of that poison by accident. As Chiyo fights to save him, he asks with his final breath that Sasori escape blame for what was his own mistake. Unable to refuse the boy's mother, who begged to have her son back, Sasori later reworks the body into a human puppet.
