Naruto: Konoha Ninpocho is an RPG for the WonderSwan Color and the very first video game ever made from the Naruto franchise. Players build a scroll of ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu seals and use them as commands in battle, in a Japan only release.

Gameplay

Combat runs on a Scroll of Seals: players choose which techniques to bring into a fight from a pool of thirty two story seals (ninety six once the three playable characters are factored in) plus fourteen more reserved for multiplayer, though only twelve can sit on a character's scroll at once. Seals fall into Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, and Other categories, and the game layers on a rock paper scissors style counter system: Ninjutsu beats Genjutsu, Genjutsu beats Taijutsu, and Taijutsu beats Ninjutsu.

Release

Developed by Bec and published by Bandai, Konoha Ninpocho released in Japan on March 27, 2003, and never left the region. It stands as both the first Naruto game overall and the only Naruto title ever to appear on Bandai's WonderSwan Color.
