Dark Ones

The six share a uniform look built around dark green shihakushō worn over white underrobes, each fitted with an armored breastplate trimmed in bronze or silver and secured by red cords, topped by a matching green beret. Past that shared kit they diverge sharply: Ganryū leads them, the towering dark-skinned Jai favors chakram, blue-haired Riyan straps on a rocket-pack, the lavender-haired Benin fights with chained daggers, the pale swordsman Mue carries a trick blade that splits apart, and the veiled, sharp-toothed Bau swings a pair of giant clubs.

As a clan the Dark Ones are bound by a single grievance, their exile, and a single aim, the ruin of Soul Society. Loyalty to Ganryū runs deep, with Riyan in particular insisting that the others honor Ganryū as Soul Society's true sovereign and bristling when Senna withholds that respect. Individually they range from the arrogant, trigger-happy Jai to the coldly focused Riyan, but every one of them places their leader's plan above all else.

In the movie the group hunts Senna, a girl tied to the Valley of Screams, first probing for her in the Human World and then ambushing the Gotei 13 when the Shinigami come to claim her. Every member turns the ghostly Blanks into a weapon, whether to regrow a severed arm, feed a rocket-pack, or trigger explosions, and one by one they fall to the Soul Reapers who arrive to aid Ichigo Kurosaki: Rukia and Byakuya undo Jai and his duplicates, Hitsugaya freezes Riyan solid, Suì-Fēng slays Benin, Kenpachi cuts down Mue, and Renji's Bankai devours Bau. Their leader Ganryū presses on with the scheme to collapse the Valley of Screams before he too is brought down.
