Fullbring

Fullbring, written to mean full manifestation art, is the innate gift of the Fullbringers, humans attuned to spirit energy who can reach into the souls residing in all material things. Its strength springs from Hollow Reiryoku rather than Shinigami power, a legacy of each user's origin: every Fullbringer descends from a parent who lived through a Hollow attack, which leaves traces of that beast's energy to pass into the child at birth.

Because even a lamppost or a chair holds a faint soul, a Fullbringer can tug on that essence to move an object or reshape its very nature, whether coaxing a drink upward into their mouth or treading across water without sinking. Unlike other spiritual beings, they channel the ability through their physical bodies, so building stamina through hard training is essential. High-speed movement, heralded by a green shimmer called Bringer Light, comes from pulling on the ground to spring farther or on the air to strike harder, and mastering it signals real progress.

The heart of the power is object affinity: by growing attached to a particular item through love, fondness or pride, a Fullbringer can draw out its soul, fuse it with their own, and transform it into a personal weapon, as when Kūgo Ginjō reshapes his pendant into a great claymore. Since objects also soak up memories from every experience they share with an owner, veterans who awaken later tend to wield stronger Fullbrings. A completed ability erupts with dangerous force, so another practitioner usually oversees the finishing stage. Users can also hand their powers to a Substitute Shinigami, and remnants of former Shinigami strength may later merge back into a finished Fullbring.

The clearest example of Fullbring belongs to Xcution, the group led by Kūgo Ginjō and including Riruka Dokugamine, Yukio, Giriko Kutsuzawa and Jackie Tristan, each with a differently named ability. Yasutora Sado, Ichigo's longtime friend, and the brawler Moe Shishigawara also number among those born with the power. When a Fullbringer dies, every trace of their gift vanishes from the world, though they carry it on into the afterlife.
