Personality

To the wider public Huge is the acceptable face of extreme wealth, nicknamed the Good One-percenter for his apparent generosity. That philanthropy is a mask for a post-human agenda: the same fortune that funds charity quietly bankrolls violence, and his cyberbrain has grown so foreign that it treats any mind it touches as something to overwrite.

History

Huge first enters the story only by implication, named by the double agent Obsidian as the altruistic backer who armed a cell of retired footballers recast as militants. Recognizing him as a rare chance to seize a living, intact post-human for study, John Smith of the National Security Agency assembles and drills the GHOST unit around the capture. Huge proves brutally difficult even for Motoko Kusanagi's seasoned operatives, but they finally subdue him. When the Major dives into his mind, she finds a cyberbrain turned utterly alien and senses it reaching to infect her, prompting her to order Saito to open fire and wreck the brain before it can spread.
