Tiger-Masked Anbu Member

His long brown hair is gathered into a ponytail, and over his face sits a white, tiger-styled Anbu mask etched with nine line markings. Otherwise he turns out in the regular uniform worn by the Leaf's Anbu.

Membership in the Anbu marks him as a capable shinobi. The sword he carries points to training in kenjutsu, and the anime credits him with some proficiency in shuriken and enough combat skill to stand his ground against a pair of Root operatives at the same time.

In the anime, he was among six Anbu, Kakashi included, escorting the Third Hokage on his way to meet the Fire Daimyo. Root agents in disguise ambushed the party hoping to assassinate Hiruzen, and he traded blows with Kanoto and Kanoe as the fight went on. His side gained the advantage and the attackers withdrew, but not before they managed to cut Hiruzen off from his guards. When Sunagakure and Otogakure launched the Konoha Crush, he gathered with Yugao Uzuki and their Anbu unit at the Memorial Stone, and once Yugao vowed to avenge Hayate and the civilians had been evacuated, the team moved out against the invaders. Later, during Pain's assault on the village, he stood with Gazeru and two more masked operatives to shield Tsunade while she used Katsuyu to heal the wounded across Konoha. As Pain closed in, he and the others channelled chakra to their feet to counter the Deva Path's repelling force, but a large-scale Shinra Tensei caught him in the blast and tore him away from the group, and his fate afterward went unrecorded.
