Naming & Region

English language coverage nicknames this game Clash of Ninja 4 to match the localized branding of the first three GameCube entries, but its real Japanese title is Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4, and no Western version was ever released under either name. It stands as the final Naruto game to reach GameCube in Japan and one of only two entries in the franchise's GameCube run confined to that region.

Gameplay Changes

The fourth game drops the item shop that earlier entries used for unlocks in favor of a Mission Mode that pits players against increasingly tough opponents under specific win conditions. It also introduces Three Man Squad Mode, where each side picks a trio of characters to fight as a team rather than one on one.
