During the Eclipse, Griffith's spirit sinks into the Abyss amid the flood of sensation from the sacrifice he has willed, only to feel nothing within his frozen heart. A voice explains the scattered beherits as droplets of ideas spilled across eternity, then guides him to the sight of the eyed, heart-like core, prompting his stunned question of whether he beholds God. The Idea reveals that it shaped his very lineage and the history that carried him before it, that he is a part of it as it is a part of him, and it bids him draw upon the Abyss to reforge his body. From this meeting is born Femto, the fifth angel of the God Hand.
