Luders Friegen

Luders drapes himself in a long white robe layered under a shorter one, finished with a hood, a black face covering, and epaulettes; a slim black sash crosses diagonally from his left shoulder-piece to his right hip, and white boots complete the outfit. His hair splits down the middle in both color and cut, black and long on the right where it reaches his shoulder, white and short and braided on the left. Rows of small circular silver piercings sit both above and below his eyes.

Luders carries himself with striking boldness, unflinching even as he delivers the Wandenreich's declaration of war to Yamamoto himself. Toward his fellow soldier Asguiaro Ebern he turns openly contemptuous, demanding deference and sneering at any pushback. Before Yhwach, however, that arrogance dissolves into complete, reverent obedience.

Two days ahead of the strike on Soul Society, Luders scouted the route the Wandenreich meant to use into the Seireitei and warned that the balance of souls between that realm and the living world would soon collapse at the current pace. Leading six masked soldiers, he broke into Yamamoto's chamber, left a messenger bleeding on the floor, and proclaimed war on the Gotei 13, boasting that Soul Society would fall within five days. When the group withdrew to base, Luders belittled a wounded Ebern, and their bickering irritated Yhwach enough that he severed Luders' arm. Refusing the offer to kneel and rest, Luders again spoke of the five days both sides needed to prepare, prompting Yhwach to ask whether he was a prophet before killing him with a single sweep of his hand.
