Long black hair frames Tui's face, her eyes a deep brown, and she turns out in the Syndicate's standard uniform.

On first meeting she comes across as grim and detached, a foot soldier who executes Vicious' orders without a word of complaint. Beneath that unruffled surface sits a conscience, and it is what finally drives her to turn on the man she has long served.

Ana's bar is where Gunther's move against Spike collapses, and word of the failure has to travel up to Vicious. Shin and Lin argue over who delivers it; Lin favors sending Tui with the grim update, while Shin figures the boss would not kill them merely for reporting it. Her name surfaces again when Vicious directs the two to have her carry Julia's beloved chocolates to the penthouse.

Vicious later hands Tui the task of spiriting Julia off-world, keeping her clear of the Elders. An earlier encounter has the two meeting just beyond Julia's apartment door, where Tui relays that Vicious wants her escorted to his penthouse for her own safety. Tui stands in that penthouse once Vicious rounds on Julia over her betrayal, and soon after she rides in the back seat of a car beside Julia and a pair of fellow Syndicate members.

As they travel, Julia quietly cautions Tui that she is marked for death too once the errand is done, for Tui alone understands why Vicious sought to kill Fearless. Tui asks if Julia ever genuinely loved Vicious; Julia confesses she once thought so, until she grasped that she had never known love before Fearless came along. Telling Julia she belongs with Spike, Tui suddenly strikes down the drivers and sends the car flipping across the road. With her final breath she begs Julia to seek him out, pressing her own gun into Julia's hands.
