Chapter 32 formally introduces Kazuma Sohma, the man who trained several of the zodiac. His reunion with Kyo turns painful when he refuses to shelter him again and instead confronts his student with the secret he most dreads exposing.
The observer from the previous chapter is revealed as Kazuma Sohma, the teacher who once instructed Yuki, Kagura, and Hatsuharu in martial arts as well as Kyo. Kyo longs to move back in with him, but Kazuma makes clear that their old living arrangement will not return.
Believing Kyo has to stop running from change, Kazuma pushes him toward the burden he carries most heavily. He strips away the Juzu Beads that keep the cat's true form hidden, and Tohru is present to see what lies beneath.
Kazuma is named as Kyo's master and denies him a return to their shared home. To force Kyo to face himself, he removes the prayer beads that suppress the cat's monstrous form, exposing it in front of Tohru.
The second chapter of Volume 6 and the thirty-second overall, this installment runs thirty-two pages under Natsuki Takaya's pen. Momiji and Hatori Sohma share the cover.
