Jay Baker is a veteran animation storyboard artist and director who worked on Invincible's first two seasons, with a career spanning Walt Disney Feature Animation to Marvel's X-Men '97.
Baker worked on Invincible at Skybound from April 2019 to October 2020, directing episodes 105 and 202 while also storyboarding episodes 105 and 108 and contributing additional revisions, character design, and effects work across episodes 101 through 108. His run on the series covered its first season launch and into its second season.
Baker began his animation career in 1996 in the effects department at Walt Disney Feature Animation, later moving into storyboarding in 2004 on films including Tarzan and The Emperor's New Groove. He has since worked on titles such as Young Justice and Twilight of the Gods, and most recently served as Animatics Director and storyboard artist on Marvel Animation's X-Men '97 from 2022 to 2024.
