History
By nature the creature belongs underground, emerging only when its season arrives. During the years Saitama spends training, the nymph rises up in Z-City and cuts through the local heroes with ease, downing the C-Class Grad School Graduate and Red Muffler along with the B-Class Darkness Blade while residents lock themselves inside Shelter Nr. 7. When two A-Class heroes fall to it as well, the Hero Association brands it a Demon-level menace and readies a subjugation squad to deal with it.
The matter settles itself before the squad arrives. Saitama, out hunting for a toilet, stumbles onto the monster, weathers its sudden attack, and drops it with one punch. Left alive long enough, a nymph of this kind would eventually mature into the 170,000-Year-Old Cicada Adult.
